Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! I am spending the holiday up in Albany with my fiancé and his family. We had our first heavy snow fall of the season yesterday – needless to say we had a blast staying in eating and drinking, and our pup, Hadley, had an absolute field day in the snow. This time of year is so special to me and I try and take a moment to reflect on how fortunate and thankful I am. From my family, to friends, to all of you, I truly feel blessed that you encourage me to share what I am passionate about each and every day, and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
After today, we will officially be in full on Christmas mode, and therefore I thought it would be nice to share our holiday card from Minted. Since I started sending christmas cards two years ago (I know, so adult of me), I have started to brainstorm potential card ideas months in advance and seek to order the cards sometime in November. Minted is a site that I have used over the years and have always been overly impressed with the ease of creating cards on the site, their customer service and, most importantly, the quality of the product ordered. Their site encompasses everything from your traditional cards, items that make entertaining extra personal, the most adorable prints for your wall, and so many other cute items.
What won me over this year when spending minutes (or hours) contemplating what would make the perfect holiday card, is their gorgeous foil-pressed design. Hello, 2014 and my obsession with all things shiny! Matt and I decided family and friends would be seeing enough pictures of us over the next year (save the dates, thank yous, etc.) and did them a favor and placed the sweetest, most precious gal we know front and center…Miss Hadley. I was able to custom create my card for the grey watercolor background to match the grey in her skirt, which helped tie the card together. I also added a few extra special touches with a glitter insert (I mean, why not?!) and a customized return address on the back of the envelop. If I really had everything together, I would have utilized their feature of addressing the front of the envelopes as well, which will automatically save for any future use.
