Ok, ok so I admit that it is at times fun to play tourist in my own city. It has been awhile since I took a trip downtown to the South Street Seaport, especially after the devastating hurricane last year. What remains down there is not much from what it was, but the cobble stone streets and large ships that dock still give this area some charm. It was only fitting that I was wearing this little nautical striped number and opted to stop and shoot some photos on the pier. I say it over and over again, but I truly feel so fortunate and lucky to call New York City home. My fiancé waisted no time ordering a “dirty dog” from the hot dog cart, all while I was people watching from the lounge seat below. It was a day well spent exploring and taking it all in in an area that was hit pretty hard from the storm.
