FARMERS MARKET
July 18, 2014
I know that I have been talking up NYC a lot lately, but it truly has so much to offer. A couple years ago I lived right near the Farmers Market in Union Square, and even though I am a bit further uptown now I still try and make it a weekend priority. Shopping local is something I support wholeheartedly, and I also like to know where the food I am putting in my body comes from. This past winter I took the most incredible cooking class that was farm(ers market) to table, where we didn’t select our menu until we saw what was at the market that day — it was really a great experience that I highly recommend! By shopping at these local markets you get to build relationships with the vendors and support their small business in a way that makes everyone feel good. I always try and bring a tote bag along with me so I don’t have to waste plastic bags, and the Graf & Lantz tote is adorable, colorful and the perfect size! My embellished maxi is from Sail to Sable — a Connecticut based brand with adorable and high-quality preppy tunics, maxis, and dresses. Make sure to check them out and have a great weekend!
