PINK TULLE

Light airy fabrics and colors have been filling my closet lately. I really just can't seem to get enough of pastels. One of my favorite looks is a high waisted skirt paired with a classic crop top. One that shows just a bit of skin, but not too revealing.  This crop top from Club Monaco did the trick. I fell in love with tulle skirts back when I featured this beauty during the chillier months, and thought the color of this skirt from The Girl That Loves is perfect to take me into spring. Lately, another favorite of mine has been stacking rings of all different sizes. You will see me featuring these gold stack-able rings from ILY Couture a lot in the coming posts, as I just can't seem to leave them behind!

BLACK TIE

This past weekend was spent enjoying the sunshine and attending my first ever black tie wedding held at the Yale Club in New York City. The venue was beautiful and the entire evening was spent mingling, eating and dancing the night away. For some time I struggled with what to wear, until I saw this gorgeous Cynthia Steffe dress. I love that the cut is a slight high-low shape and the detail of the neckline is enough where a necklace is not needed, and allows the earring and bracelet to take center stage. Portobello Jewelry specializes in wedding accessories, and the mix of diamante and pearls complimented my look perfectly. Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

LIGHT PINK RUFFLES

Soft, delicate and feminine, I found the perfect dress for numerous occasions. Attending a shower, going to a wedding or a night out at a Broadway show (which is where I was headed), this dress covers it all.  I was drawn to the slight ruffle on the sleeve and tiny detail near the hem line. I wanted a chunky necklace and a collection of bangles in soft colors to wear with this dress. Currently this dress is 40% off at the LOFT (code: SPRING), so click your way over there and check it out for yourself! Also, I have been loving the stacked bauble trend and Reece & Blaire is your one stop shop. They will customize and help you create the perfect combination so you can rock your arm party all day every day.

FRIENDS + FAMILY SALE

It's that time again, where stores are starting to have their annual friends and family sale and I block out all purchases in my head until my dreaded credit card bill arrives. Lucky for me, I was able to pick up these strappy stilettos from Lord and Taylor just in time for a wedding this weekend, and also scored these distressed denim shorts from Singer22 (20% off with code: HOPONIT). I gathered a few of my favorites for you to shop below, and it just so happens that our tax returns should be settling nicely into our bank accounts right about now (but maybe not staying there all too long)!

SOHO

There are many things about living in NYC that I love, and the shopping options is definitely at the top of my list. Walking around SoHo never gets old - I find new streets and places to pop in each time I head down that way. From the restaurants to the insane, yet dangerous for my wallet, stores, I truly love walking around and getting lost in this neighborhood. Broadway is the main street in SoHo, and this is where you will find many of the larger stores, including Bloomingdales, Zara, Old Navy, and H&M, but unfortunately these plethora of shopping options also comes with huge crowds, especially on a weekend day (as you can see in the third picture below). However, beautiful and quaint cobblestone streets surround Broadway. These side streets also include great shopping options, such as JCrew, Michael Kors, and Warby Parker. When I picture New York, these are the beautiful streets that I imagine. Although most of the city shops are dog-friendly, SoHo definitely takes the "dog-friendly" policy to a new level. I love bringing Hadley down here and she takes full advantage - she usually gets no less than five dog treats from the C Wonder staff! If you have the chance to take in some SoHo shopping, I highly recommend checking out the beautifully renovated Club Monaco store and the recently opened Piperlime. For my shopping attire, I stuck to this bright blouse, jeans and glitter flats.
